Keep the water running.
A small solar canopy with battery backup can close our building’s known blackout gap, while reducing the electricity used by the selected pump circuit every sunny day.
Recommended direction: advance the project to technical validation and comparable offers, without contracting until the pump backup and final cost are certified.

Our generator protects the emergency lift, fire system and drainage pumps. It does not protect the pressure group serving floors 11 to 19.

How the proposed system works
Solar reduces consumption on one selected connection. A configurable battery reserve remains for outages.
3.6 kWp solar
Six panels generate electricity whenever sunlight is available.
10.2 kWh battery
Solar charges it. A 10 kW hybrid inverter controls live supply and backup.
Protected pump circuit
During an outage, battery plus available solar are intended to supply the pressure group.
Solar supplies loads on the selected connection and charges the battery according to its configured blackout reserve. Surplus can be compensated only if export is included in the legalized configuration.
Only the protected pressure-pump circuit is assumed to receive power. The garage and other community circuits remain unprotected.
One connection only. Prioritize water.
MASRED cannot connect this solar and battery system across all community circuits. The pressure-pump circuit is the priority. MASRED must still identify its CUPS and confirm whether normal solar operation offsets that full CUPS or only the isolated pump subcircuit.

Pump feasibility
The available data is compatible with the proposed inverter, but does not prove pump compatibility.
The three invoices help identify the possible supply, but only the circuit feeding the pressure pumps will be connected. Its exact CUPS and the pumps’ short starting surge still need confirmation.

Every normal day
The backup system also works on the bill.
The panels are not waiting for a blackout. They supply the selected pump circuit, charge the battery and reduce electricity purchased for that connection.
Generation is a working estimate derived from MASRED’s earlier Valencia yield assumption, scaled to 3.6 kWp. Gross savings assume €0.20/kWh self-consumed, €0.06/kWh exported and 50% to 90% self-consumption on the selected connection. The selected CUPS load profile and battery reserve policy must be measured and agreed.
Amortization
Solar helps repay the resilience investment.
Blackout protection is the primary objective. Solar savings can offset a meaningful share of the cost, but full payback depends on the selected supply’s actual load profile.

About €221 for the average dwelling at the quoted price.

This is the clearest resilience argument.
The complete backup function also depends on the hybrid inverter, controls and wiring, so €47 is not the full backup premium. The storage hardware itself is nevertheless a small part of each owner’s quoted share.

Financial assumptions and limitations
Base model: 5,000 kWh annual generation, 70% self-consumption on the selected connection, €0.20/kWh avoided electricity, €0.06/kWh exported surplus, €150 annual O&M, 2% annual energy-price growth and 0.5% annual panel degradation.
No grant, tax bonus, financing or monetary value for blackout resilience is included. Generation is a working estimate and must be replaced by MASRED’s yield calculation. Excluded works may increase the investment. Financial figures are planning estimates, not guarantees.
